Cheddar Beer Biscuits

Before I get a ton if emails notifying me that they can't serve food COOKED with alcohol, the alcohol cooks off. Now off my soapbox. Careful I don't fall! Hiccup! These are some great biscuits. And no! It's not the beer talking (good grief it's only 2/3 of a cup!) The carbonation of the beer really changes the dough. I suppose you could use some seltzer water but then you'd lose the flavor the beer imparts. These can be tossed together in minutes and they bake in ten minutes. I can't run to Red Lobster for biscuits that fast. Speaking of Red Lobster, these remind me of them. Except they have beer in them. You could experiment with different beers. Each variety would bring a different flavor.

2 cups of Bisquick or equivalent
2/3 cup of beer
1/2 cup or one handful of cheddar cheese shredded
1/2 cup green onions minced
1 TB parsley (toss in any green herb you have.)
1 TB butter for topping
1/2 tsp garlic powder for topping

Mix Bisquick, cheese, onions, herbs, and beer together. Mix the melted butter and garlic together. Brush over the top of the uncooked biscuits. Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for 10 minutes.

Yum! I make some of these Red Lobster style biscuits...so good! The best garlic salt is the McCormick Grinder with Garlic and Sea Salt. It makes it taste like the real deal. I'll have to give yours a try with the beer.
