Yes we are using prepared BBQ sauce. But I am going to kick up a notch. Because boring baked BBQ chicken just won't do. Nope. So this all came about because The Fireman was on duty and I forgot and took chicken out for dinner. It's BBQ weather but we have a pit and not a gas grill. I do BBQ but The Fireman doesn't trust me to make the fire for the BBQ. And since I don't really want to embarrass him with responding to a fire at his own house I guess I will use the oven.
I have made homemade BBQ sauce before. It's amazing. It's not hard to make but does require one ingredient I am out of (along with an entire list) Worcestershire sauce. We us it a lot and in result are out. I have a bottle of BBQ sauce so it will do! I am adding 1/4 cup of hot sauce (buffalo sauce to be exact) marinading for an hour and then BBQing or rather baking till caramelized.
Baked BBQ Chicken
1 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup hot sauce (I'm using Buffalo Sauce)
2 TB brown sugar
2 chicken breasts
Salt and pepper
Mix the BBQ sauce with the Buffalo sauce

Add the brown sugar.

I am foil lining my baking sheet (The Tortured Teenager has a job and won't be home to do the dishes tonight. Foil makes for easy cleaning)
Salt and pepper the chicken. I'm using Susie Q BBQ seasoning.
Spoon sauce over both sides. Let sit in the fridge covered for one hour. Take out of the fridge 20 minutes before you intend to cook.

Bake 350 for 25 minutes. Hit the Broiler for a couple minutes.
I am serving with Rocking Corn!
