Whipping Cream Biscuits

I love biscuits. Unfortunately I just don't make them enough. I have what seems like a million recipes for biscuits too. All which I love for different reasons. I tend to make biscuits on the weekend. I love the way they smell up the house. You can have a house full of sleeping teens and biscuits baking seems to wake them, causing them to stumble down the stairs. These are  dear to me because the use up whipping cream when I have extra whipping cream in the fridge. I seem to always have some around the holidays too.

Whipping Cream biscuits

2 cups flour
1 cup whipping cream whipped
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 TB butter

Stick the butter into a cast iron pan and stick into the oven to preheat while you mix the ingredients

place all dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl
add the whipping cream to a bowl
make it frothy
add it to the dry ingredients

roll it onto a floured surface
roll out and cut. I use a glass
Place the cut biscuits into the HOT pan that has melted butter in it and place into the oven

Bake at 425  for 10 minutes. I always brush 1 TB melted butter on the top. It is a trick my Gram did. Totally uncalled for but always necessary
