Easy Strawberry Pastry

A couple of weeks ago I pulled a Quick Cinnamon Pastry out of a hat and my family went crazy over it. My son thought it was like a giant Pop Tart. I thought maybe I could do it again but this time with some strawberry preserves. Strawberry Pop Tarts were my favorite after all!

Quick Strawberry Pastry
1 box refrigerator pie crust
2/3 cup Strawberry Preserves
Glaze ingredients
1/3 cup powdered sugar
2-3 TB orange juice

Spray a cookie sheet with some Pam. Unroll one of the pie crusts on the cookie sheet

Prick it with a fork. Not sure why, but it's what my Gram would have done.

Spread out the Strawberry Preserves on the pie crust.

Roll the second pie crust out over the first.

Take a fork and crimp the edges. Take the same fork and put four random pricks in the top. (you might need a TB of flour to dip the fork in)

Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 15-18 minutes. 15 is where I started but remember my oven is prehistoric so it took a few extra minutes. Take out when nice and brown.

While baking combine the glaze ingredients.

Drizzle the glaze over the cooked pastry. Let cool for ten minutes.

Cut into wedges.

I made for dessert but this would be so good for breakfast or even bite size for a brunch.
