Ranch Fries

I've never turned away from a French fry. Never met one I didn't like. My only requirement is that they have flavor and be crunchy. These are normally made when I make Chicken Ranch Sandwiches. They use 1/2 packet of Ranch dip mix. So there is always the rest of the packet to use. A full packet is too much. The ranch dip makes a crunchy coat on the outside. I imagine it's from the flour in the mix. I usually like to dip my fries in something but these have so much flavor that the dip isn't necessary.

Ranch Fries
6 potatoes scrubbed. Half lengthwise and then cut into wedges. Each potatoe makes at least 8 wedges.
Olive oil for drizzling
1/2 packet of ranch dip mix

Place the potatoes on a cookie sheet. Drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle dip mix on the potatoes.

Now flip each potato over. Drizzle more olive oil on potatoes. Just enough to cover but not enough to have then swimming. Drizzle more seasoning on the potatoes.

Roast in a preheated 425 degree oven for 20 minutes flipping half way

These go perfect with Chicken Ranch Sandwiches.

I give these fries two big thumbs up! I make these all the time and it is a favorite with my family. The only difference in the way I make them, is that I toss the wedges in a bowl to mix.
Don't you love the nice golden crust that forms on the outside? Hmm, I think I might just make a batch tonight :)

I really like these kinds of fries. The ones that are thick and nicely fried!
