Hard Boiled Eggs

It is surprising how my husband just learned how to make a hard boiled egg. I had to tell him the directions three times and still he needed to ask a co-worker if he was making them right. It's not rocket science! But it made me wonder...how many do not know how to make them. My brats cook often but I dont think either one know how to make Hard Boiled Eggs. Both eat them every chance I make them. They are great for snacks. Personally, I love to make a Deviled Egg Sandwich (aka Egg Salad Sandwich) out of mine. Only one child will eat them with me and you can guess which one will not! To tell you the truth, I'm surprised that the Tortured Teenager will touch them. She is a hater of mayonnaise. This child practically lived off bread with mayo as a child. Then one day she proclaimed them as unfit for consumption. Literally!

Back to my Hard Boiled Eggs. Simply fill a pot with water.

Place the eggs in the water (make sure the water covers them) and cover with a lid. Bring to a boil.

Remove covered pan from heat. Set a timer for 15 minutes and Voila! Hard Boiled eggs! Drain and refrigerate!

Add some mayo, mustard and Lemon Pepper Seasoning and you have the perfect Deviled Egg Sandwich. You could add celery, or relish but I am a simple girl (just don't look at my cute shoes and get the wrong idea!) and I like my Deviled Egg Sandwich simply made.

How about you? What do you like in your Egg Salad Sandwich?

Great looking sandwich! That's the way I do mine, except I may let them set a while longer and then rinse with cold water before refrigerating. It never fails to make good hard boiled eggs! I also know of ones who refuse to eat mayo, unimaginable!

Isn't funny how the people closest to us that see us make these wonderful things need confirmation from someone else when tell them how to cook something as simple as an egg.....sigh.....like you said its not rocket science....
thanks for sharing
